Bock is a type of strong lager, first brewed in the 14th century in the Hanseatic town of Einbeck, Germany, from which it gets its name. Modern Bocks can be dark, amber, red or as in Bagge, pale in color. In order to be called Bock it must have an original worth strength exceeding 16% when the beer is brewed. Photo by Daniel Dahlgren
